First Visit

Welcome to The Churches at Forest Meadow
A Multicultural Church Family in Lake Highlands
The Lake Highlands area of Dallas is one of the most culturally diverse communities in Texas. Families from many nations, languages, and traditions now call this community home. At The Churches at Forest Meadow, we believe that diversity is not an obstacle to the Gospel—it is one of the beautiful ways God displays His glory through His people.
When you visit our campus, you will quickly notice that this is not a typical church experience. Rather than being one large congregation, our building is home to several smaller congregations from different language and cultural backgrounds who worship Jesus Christ together while maintaining their own unique identities and traditions.
The First Thing You Will Notice
A Family of Congregations
The Churches at Forest Meadow is made up of several congregations, each with its own language, culture, leadership, and worship style. Most of our congregations are smaller in size, creating a warm and personal atmosphere where people can genuinely know and care for one another.
Our congregations currently worship in a variety of heart languages, including:
- English
- Zomi
- Spanish
- Burmese
- Amharic
- Sudanese Arabic
Each congregation worships in ways that reflect its own cultural background. Some services are joyful and expressive, with enthusiastic singing, clapping, call-and-response, and celebration. Others are quieter, reflective, and prayerful. While styles may differ, all of our congregations seek to honor Jesus Christ and remain faithful to the teaching of the Bible.
Each congregation has its own pastor or leadership team. Some are pastor-led while others are guided by elders. Worship services are scheduled throughout the weekend, including Sunday morning, Sunday afternoon, Sunday evening, and even Saturday gatherings, allowing multiple congregations to share our facility throughout the week.
Our congregations come from different denominational traditions and ministry backgrounds. Yet we are united by a common commitment:
The Holy Bible is our final authority for faith and practice.

Together We Are
Although our congregations are diverse, together we form one larger church family.
The Churches at Forest Meadow is:
- Multiethnic
- Multicongregational
- Multidenominational
- Multilingual
- United through our shared relationship with Jesus Christ
We believe the Gospel is powerful enough to bring people together across:
- nations,
- cultures,
- languages,
- and generations.

When You Arrive
A Warm Welcome
On most Sundays, you will find plenty of available parking on our campus. Greeters are available to help direct you to the correct worship service or classroom.
Our first floor is ADA accessible, and we want every guest to feel comfortable and welcomed. Restrooms are available on both the first and second floors.
Because different congregations meet throughout the day, we encourage guests to check the weekly worship schedule and arrive a few minutes early.
If you need nursery or preschool assistance, please let us know when you arrive. We will gladly help you and your children get settled.
What Worship Will Feel Like
Each congregation reflects the culture and traditions of the people worshiping there. As a result, worship experiences may feel different from one service to another.
Some services may include:
- energetic singing,
- joyful celebration,
- clapping,
- testimonies,
- or call-and-response participation.

- Others may feel:
- quieter,
- contemplative,
- solitary
- and deeply prayerful

These differences are not signs of division. They are reminders that God welcomes people from every tribe, language, and nation into His Kingdom.
At the same time, all worship services are expected to remain biblical, Christ-centered, and spiritually healthy. Our congregations seek to worship in ways that are meaningful without becoming distracting or extreme.
Most worship services last approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes, though times may vary slightly.
Responding to God
Most services include a time of personal response near the end of worship.
In some congregations, this may look like a traditional altar call. In others, worshipers may be invited to speak privately with a pastor, elder, or ministry leader for prayer and encouragement.
At any of our services, you are welcome to:
- ask questions,
- request prayer,
- seek baptism,
- explore church membership,
- or simply talk with someone about following Jesus Christ.

Giving and Offerings

Members and regular attenders are encouraged to support the work of the church joyfully and sacrificially as an act of worship to God.
Each congregation normally receives an offering during worship services.
Guests should never feel pressured to give. Your presence with us is already a blessing.
Online giving is also available through the church website. Simply visit the homepage and click the “Give” or “Donate” button to securely contribute online.
Our Prayer for You

- biblically grounded,
- and actively making disciples.
Whether you visit once or eventually become part of our long-term church family, we pray you will find:
- truth,
- grace,
