Vision
Loving people is at the heart of the Gospel. Jesus taught that love for God is inseparable from love for others. At Forest Meadow Baptist Church, we believe faith becomes visible when it is lived out through genuine compassion, service, hospitality, and justice. Loving People means meeting real needs, building real relationships, and reflecting the love of Christ in both ordinary and challenging moments.
Because Forest Meadow is a family of congregations from many cultures and languages and denominational backgrounds, Loving People also means engaging cultures with humility, patience and joy — learning from one another as we serve together. We listen well, learn from one another, and serve together in ways that honor Christ and respect the dignity of every person, as well as the autonomy of each congregation.

Pathways
Forest Meadow is committed to loving our neighbors in the Lake Highlands community and throughout Dallas. We do this through acts of mercy, community partnerships, and personal relationships. Our desire is not only to respond to immediate needs, but also to offer presence, prayer, and long-term care rooted in the love of Christ.
Members of our congregations serve in different ways — some through organized ministries, others through informal acts of kindness, advocacy, and neighborly care. Together, these expressions form a witness of Christ’s love in our local context.

Global Missions & Partnerships
Forest Meadow has a long history of engagement in global missions. We partner with churches, missionaries, and ministries around the world, especially in places connected to our own congregations’ cultures and languages. These partnerships are built on mutual respect, long-term relationships, and a shared commitment to the Gospel.
Global missions is not something “over there” for us — it is woven into the life of our church through prayer, giving, learning, and personal relationships.
Global Missions & Ministry Partnerships
Loving People extends beyond our local community to the nations. Forest Meadow partners with missionaries, churches, and ministries around the world, particularly in places connected to the cultures and languages represented within our church family. These partnerships are built on long-term relationships, mutual trust, and shared commitment to the Gospel.
Global missions at Forest Meadow is not distant or abstract. It is personal, relational, and deeply connected to the lives and stories of our members. We pray, give, learn, and serve together as participants in God’s work among the nations.

Caring for One Another
Loving People also begins within the church family itself. We are committed to caring for one another in seasons of joy and sorrow — through prayer, encouragement, visitation, and practical help. No one is meant to walk alone, and we strive to be a community where people are known, supported, and valued.
We care for one another through prayer, presence, and practical support. In times of joy or hardship, we walk together—listening, praying, and bearing one another’s burdens in love.
God has gifted every believer to serve. At Forest Meadow, there are many opportunities to use your gifts — whether behind the scenes or on the front lines, occasionally or regularly. Serving is one of the ways we grow in faith and build unity across generations and cultures.
There are other ways to loving people in tangible ways. Whether we are helping senior citizens make simple repairs to their homes, driving to them to worship services or doctor’s appointments, or helping a new immigrant to our country get settled in their new home, we want to be there to help. Our church playground also serves as a quiet peaceful place to enjoy a picnic linch and a couple of turns on the swings. We encourage every congregation and every believer to use their gifts to build up the church and to serve our neighbors with humility and compassion
If you are exploring how God might be calling you to serve, we would love to help you find a place that fits.
Prayer
Prayer is central to our life together. We pray in worship, in small gatherings, on weekends and throughout the week—seeking God’s guidance, interceding for one another, and listening for the Spirit’s leading in our church and community.
To encourage our friends and members in the area of prayer, we have included a “Prayer Wall” on our website, a place where anyone can go and offer prayers as well as ask for prayer. It is exciting to see how God answers our requests in ways that go far beyond anything we could imagine. You don’t have to be a member to participate and we assure you that we moderate the entries very carefully to keep the trolls and skeptics at bay.

Caring for the Church Family
We believe the church is called to care for its own with love and faithfulness. At Forest Meadow, we seek to support one another in seasons of joy, loss, illness, transition, and growth. This care happens through prayer, encouragement, visitation, practical help, and shared life.
No one is meant to walk alone. We strive to be a community where people are known, valued, and supported across generations and cultures.

Apartment Ministry
Invitation
All of the things we mentioned above make up a part of life’s experience for those who live in apartment communities. The multifamily communities around our church are very diverse. Some are upper middle income. Others are lower middle income. And still others are lower income properties. The one thing they all have in common is a need for a spiritual community nearby. FMBC reaches out to these apartments, offering free food, fellowship and Bible study. And, of course, they are welcome to worship with us.
