More About Pastor Tim

Thank you for taking a moment to learn a little more about me.

I am a pastor because I believe the good news of Jesus Christ is that He offers everyone who trusts in Him a fresh start—a new beginning in life—not just on the surface, but all the way into the heart. I believe God meets people with arms that are always open wide. He offers grace rather than condemnation and patiently shapes us into the person He created us to be.

My calling has always been centered on helping people of all backgrounds—especially those who live in communities where Jesus is not well known—understand the gospel clearly, love God and our neighbor deeply, and follow Jesus together as a community of disciples.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of serving in a variety of ministry settings and cultural contexts. I currently pastor a church made up of seven congregations. Each congregation speaks a different language, worships in ways unique to their culture, and celebrates the opportunity to worship our Lord in a single building with people from all over the world. This experience has shaped my conviction that the church is strongest when it reflects the richness of God’s people—different backgrounds, languages, generations, and stories—united by one faith in Jesus Christ. I have seen firsthand how powerfully the gospel speaks across cultures, and how much we gain when we listen to and learn from one another.

I am assisted and supported in ministry by Lynda, my wife of fifty years. With her at my side, being the disciple and doing the ministries to which God has called her, God has provided the key leadership resources needed for small church ministry. Her leadership in our family and with the children of our church have always been exactly what we needed.

At Forest Meadow Baptist Church, my heart is to shepherd a congregation that is rooted in Scripture, grounded in prayer, and open to the transforming work of the Holy Spirit. I care deeply about clear biblical teaching, authentic worship, and a church family where people are known, valued, and supported. I believe discipleship is not about perfection, but about growth—learning to trust God more fully and to love others more faithfully.

In 2026, we will be especially focused on helping people understand who they are in Christ. Many of us walk through life carrying labels placed on us by our past, our failures, or the expectations of others. The gospel offers something better: a new identity grounded in God’s love and grace. My desire is to help people move from simply attending church to living as disciples—men and women who know they are loved by God and who reflect that love in their homes, workplaces, and communities.

Whether you are new to church, returning after time away, or have been walking with Christ for many years, you are welcome here. It would be an honor to walk with you as we seek to “love God, love people, and follow Jesus together.”
